Lily and Rosie are Guernsey cows from a small village in Somerset called Chilton Cantelo. They were poking their heads over a rambling, ivy-clad stone wall and the scene was so idyllic, that I had to stop my car and jump out and take hundreds of photos.
At the same farm were Milly, Molly and Mandy – a different painting from the same group of cows.
